Ultradent, a global name in oral health is seeking a Research Scientist to join our team at our headquarters in Salt Lake City. This position requires a drive to innovate and explore new materials and technologies in the dental industry. Experience in developing ideas from concept to prototype is highly recommended. Experience with photo/radical induced polymerization techniques, medical device research, microbiology/tissue management techniques, and/or a related field is preferred.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, improve, and customize products and formulas
- Explore, innovate, and create new chemistries, materials, and technologies
- Explore or design biological additives for dental materials
- Design and implement experiments
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to generate new products
- Conduct research and remain current on applicable technologies
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- B.S. in Chemistry, Material Science, Biology, or related scientific field with R&D experience is ideal
- Experience in biomaterials, polymers, and/or medical devices is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
- Ability to effectively use computer software including Microsoft Office Suite

- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to effectively use laboratory and processing equipment
