About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. As a Postdoctoral Research Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, collaborate with a talented team of scientists, and contribute to the advancement of medical research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and conduct research experiments to advance our understanding of human diseases.
  • Manage research projects, including data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of results.
  • Prepare reports and papers for publication, presentation, and future research.
  • Contribute to grant writing and develop applications for fellowships.
  • Meet with the Principal Investigator on a regular basis to discuss ongoing projects and preparation for an independent role.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics, or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of scientific theory and research.
  • Demonstrated skill in formulating and testing hypotheses.
  • Ability to conduct scientific research experiments, analyze and summarize data and results, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Experience with wet laboratory techniques, animal models, and confocal microscopy is highly desirable.
