Position Overview: Senior Research Scientist, Agricultural Division

We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist to spearhead the development of innovative agricultural products at our headquarters. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Technical Services and Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of cutting-edge products and technologies tailored for the agricultural sector.
  • Design and refine manufacturing processes for new and existing agricultural products.

  • Conduct thorough market research to gain insights into agricultural trends and competitive products.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of relevant FDA, EPA, and USDA regulations impacting agricultural operations.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively, providing updates through detailed technical reports and presentations.
  • Assess and approve new raw materials or substitutions as required by the procurement team.
  • Offer recommendations for storage and shelf-life based on rigorous testing and studies.
  • Assist in creating technical marketing materials for the agricultural sector.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Chemistry or a related field with at least 2 years of industrial research experience; or MS in Chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or BS in Chemistry with at least 9 years of industrial research experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in product development and characterization, preferably within the agricultural sector.
  • Familiarity with standard wet chemistry techniques and advanced analytical instrumentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with enterprise resource planning and laboratory software.
  • Proven leadership skills in cross-functional team settings.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings clearly.
