POSITION SUMMARY :
The recovery focused Caseworker Coach II is an essential member of the Rachels Womens Center Team responsible for providing individual substance use recovery support, facilitating groups and supporting participants in setting and meeting realistic attainable goals. This team member will possess a strong working knowledge of behavioral health and recovery resources and establish collaborative working relationships with colleagues within and outside of Catholic Charities. They will motivate, support, and guide the people we serve.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Meets with participants to support them in identifying and addressing their recovery related concerns. This may include facilitating access to shelter and other programs and services.
Facilitates access to detox and treatment programs responsive to each participants unique needs. This includes building and maintaining collaborative relationships with substance use and behavioral heath providers.
Provides individual recovery and relapse prevention.
Plans and facilitates recovery and relapse prevention groups and SUD education sessions in a creative and engaging manner. Presents information that is responsive to the needs of the people we serve. May also co-facilitate Seeking Safety and other psycho-educational groups.
Reinforces a recovery culture throughout the RWC community by maintaining the recovery bulletin board and current listings of 12 step and other community-based recovery supports.
Provide conflict resolution/crisis intervention services as needed.
Support participants in establishing and meeting goals, document progress and barriers to success and identify possible solutions. Assist with problem-solving.
Develop a comprehensive knowledge base of county-wide substance use and behavioral health resources including program eligibility criteria.
Assist with all program functions including answering phones, greeting donors and processing donations.
When applicable, facilitate participants access to technology used to meet with internal CC and external service providers.
Additional duties as assigned by your supervisor to support participants and safe, efficient program operations.
Foster a trauma-informed, safety-focused culture within Rachels Programs
Share knowledge & coach co-workers on recovery-related information, expanding their perspective and ability to respond to participants needs.
Participate in participant case review meetings, team meetings and training as scheduled.
Work collaboratively with coworkers within Catholic Charities Homeless Programs and establish and nurture collaborative relationships with colleagues from other agencies providing similar or complementary services.
Document all contacts with residents in files and Clarity HMIS and may include entering information into CES (coordinated entry housing placement system)
Complete and submit all required monthly reports and assigned paperwork as needed in a timely and accurate manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Human Services, social or behavioral sciences or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum one-year experience serving people experiencing homelessness, living with substance use disorders, and/or mental illness.
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
Well-developed listening skills
Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred but not required, must be able to read, write and speak English.
Successful completion of a live scan background clearance
Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches to service delivery. Prior knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Housing First, and harm reduction approaches to service delivery a plus
Familiarity with ASAM criteria or the ability to successfully complete ASAM training.
Strong computer skills and ability to become proficient with database software. Must be able to successfully complete training to enter information into Clarity Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
Valid Drivers License and a clean driving record
Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize.
Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
