Position Summary

The Caseworker Coach II plays a vital role within the Catholic Charities Diocese, focusing on providing personalized support for individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. This position involves facilitating group sessions and assisting participants in establishing and achieving realistic goals. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of behavioral health resources and will work collaboratively with both internal and external partners to enhance the support network for participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with participants to identify and address their recovery-related challenges, including access to shelter and additional services.
  • Facilitate connections to detox and treatment programs tailored to individual needs, fostering relationships with substance use and behavioral health providers.
  • Deliver personalized recovery support and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Organize and lead engaging recovery and relapse prevention groups, ensuring content is relevant to participants' needs.
  • Promote a culture of recovery within the community by maintaining resources and information on recovery support options.
  • Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as necessary.
  • Assist participants in setting and achieving their goals, documenting progress and challenges, and offering problem-solving support.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of local substance use and behavioral health resources.
  • Support various program functions, including administrative tasks and participant technology access.
  • Contribute to a trauma-informed and safety-focused environment.
  • Share expertise and coach colleagues on recovery-related topics to enhance service delivery.
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within Catholic Charities and other agencies to provide comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of participant interactions and required reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, social or behavioral sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or those with substance use disorders.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not mandatory; proficiency in English is required.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices.
  • Proficient in computer skills and database management.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
