This position serves as Account 1 - Grants with the Indiana Supreme Court’s Fiscal Division. Working with federal awards, 2 CFR 200 (federal body of regulations for grants), to conduct analytical work during the thorough review of financials reports, applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and working with PeopleSoft Financials. A Day in the Life:

Assists in processing quarterly federal grant reports, reviewing journal entries and general ledgers for accuracy and quality control, analyzing and reporting on variances. Manages Project Costing module in PeopleSoft Financials for grant funded expenditures including creating new federal projects, invoice/payment processing, requisitions, purchase orders, and federal reimbursements. Facilitates procurement of goods and services, including valuation of assets and approved vendors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist with preparing grant applications, emphasizing identifying reimbursable expenses and developing budgets. Track all project expenses and revenue against the grant budget. Provide financial reports and budget feedback to program staff. • Create and maintain projects in PeopleSoft (PS) accounting system for grant funds. Book expenses to projects as they occur. Reconcile project expenses and revenue. Prepare Federal Draw Billing invoices. • Request payment/draws from granting agencies in their systems. • Research and resolve grant and project issues and report results to stakeholders • Assist Fiscal managers/officers in regularly reconciling PS accounts • Ensure transactions are processed consistent with established policies and procedures • Escalate potential financial risks to appropriate management • Ensure strong internal and external communications on status, issues, and expectations Seek continuing education opportunities for grant related topics, where applicable Additional duties as assigned.

Communication • Communicating effectively and respectfully with team members, supervisors, and staff in other divisions of the Office of Judicial Administration • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience Problem Solving • Identify problems and review related information to develop and implement solutions • Use deductive reasoning skills to meet several complimentary goals
