What You'll DoResponsible for leading the efficient and effective service of our beverage program, ensuring it generates revenue and profits. In this role, you'll provide guests with friendly and professional service, excellent food quality, strong price value, and consistency of execution in an attractive, well-maintained environment. Create and develop an annual marketing plan to penetrate new sales opportunities and improve use within existing markets. Further responsibilities include staff development objectives and meeting financial goals. Some of your responsibilities include:Develop a selection and pricing strategy of all liquors and wines, and supervision of their procurement. Manager liquor inventory and procedures. Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and coach employees; address complaints and problem solve. Lead responsibility for the operations of the rooftop bar, Eden - while also driving the beverage program of the main restaurant, Blue Hound Kitchen and Cocktails. Communicate with the management, employee, and accounting staffs, identifying attractive and developed staff and provide the necessary training as positions open. Help fill any open positions with applicants who are qualified and understand the standards required of them. Participate in and facilitate new server, busser, barista, and bartender training programs as well as ongoing development programs, seminars. Evaluate restaurant service performance daily. Facilitate quarterly Kimpton Check-Ins with employees. Participate in helping the General Manager create the financial objectives of the bars on an annual basis through the budget process. Help meet budget in all areas of cost control with consistent focus on cost of sales and payroll. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager. What You BringHigh School Diploma is preferred. 1 to 2 years of experience supervising a bar program. Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certification (if applicable). An advanced education or certification in beverage studies or in-depth knowledge in the wine and spirits areas. Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. Hardworking, passionate creator of guest experiences, highly motivated and flexible, with the ability to take initiative. Advanced knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixology and you're up to date on current industry trends. Differences make a difference.
