Position Summary

The Benefits Account Coordinator supports Bene-Care's Benefits division by assisting a dedicated Account Consultant. This position is responsible for maintaining direct communication with clients, facilitating renewals, onboarding new clients, and ensuring a seamless experience throughout the client life cycle.

Essential Expectations and Responsibilities:
  • Support a dedicated Account Consultant in managing client relationships within the Benefits department.
  • Communicate directly with individuals and small group businesses to assist with renewals and new client acquisitions.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all services offered by Bene-Care including Benefits, Payroll, Human Resources Consulting and Third-Party Administration.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking in all interactions.
  • Assist in creating client proposals, preparing spreadsheets, and developing customized forms as needed.
  • Gather materials and prepare informational packets for client meetings to ensure readiness and organization.
  • Support an Account Consultant in processing additions, terminations, or changes to employee enrollments and claims submissions.
  • Provide client support both over the phone and in person, assisting with insurance product selection, eligibility, underwriting requirements, policy changes, and general inquiries.
  • Anticipate client needs by becoming familiar with their processes and preferences.
  • Review underwriting and assist with group enrollment by submitting necessary materials through appropriate channels.
  • Reconcile plan changes and enrollments at client renewal periods.
  • Efficiently communicate information between internal departments to ensure seamless client service delivery.
  • Respond promptly to all emails and voicemails, maintaining a high level of responsiveness.
  • Thrive under open enrollment pressures and meet strict deadlines while managing time effectively during peak seasons.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment to achieve departmental goals and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
  • Proven experience in customer service, account management, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and insurance products is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
