Contact HirexHire for more client information THE ROLE Our client is looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead who can lead the development of an early stage data platform from inception to launch (0-1) through the entire product lifecycle. You will partner with a Product Manager and your team of engineers to create a new core parts of our client's platform. WHAT YOU WILL DO Manage and lead a team of 3-5 engineers and associated agile rituals like standups, planning, and retrospectives. Align your team around product OKRs/KPIs that you jointly focus on driving. Work with product managers and designers to build and realize new product features. Report on project statuses to the company. Perform peer code reviews to ensure the team is producing well-tested and maintainable code. Evangelize our software development best practices within the team. Active development with proper test coverage Support and optimize our critical production environment. WHAT YOU WILL NEED 5+ years of experience building web applications. Experience leading projects and some form of managing, leading, or mentoring others. Ability to write clean, well-designed, and scalable code. Experience working with clinical data, including a strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and interoperability challenges. Experience building modern, external (customer-facing) data products. Thorough understanding of data engineering concepts. First-hand professional experience with Ruby on Rails. Desire to work in a collaborative environment: interactions with the leadership team, product managers, and customer success teams. Knowledge of full-stack development.
