As a Lead Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the design and engineering of warehouse development projects in collaboration with your team of Project Engineers. Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Leading a team of Project Engineers.
  • Managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs.
  • Overseeing construction and commissioning from a design perspective to ensure project completion as efficiently and effectively as possible.
  • Evaluating and improving changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project.
  • Monitoring the engineering process to ensure adherence to quality and Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Providing input on project outcomes and resolving escalated issues in collaboration with other departments.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Design & Engineering to provide strategic direction for successful project outcomes.
  • Ensuring your team meets project timelines for assigned projects in North America.
  • Offering life-cycle engineering support to existing warehouses.


Who We Are Looking For:

  • B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • At least 6 years of project experience in logistics real estate.
  • Experience leading smaller engineering project teams.
  • Based in the Chicago metropolitan area and able to work from our Chicago office.
  • Comfortable working in an international and dynamic work environment.
