What you'll do Work on the electrical team on new product development designs, existing product configurations and obsolescence issues.Design and review Industrial Electrical Control Panels and Machine Schematics for compliance with UL508a, NFPA70, & NFPA79 standards.Interface with internal Industrial Controls Team, assisting with PLC testing, programming, and troubleshooting.Work on the Design and Drafting of ground up Industrial Automation Electrical Systems.Support production by investigating build failures, build issues or field failures.Aid in the research outside sources and evaluate electro-mechanical components such as controllers, connectors, sensors and actuators.Define protocols, write test plans and conduct the necessary testing required to validate the safety and effectiveness of the design(s).Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Travel to customer sites to support new installations (up to 35%)What you'll need Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering5+ years of experienceExperience in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN Electrical, and SolidWorks Electrical.Experience programming, troubleshooting, debugging Rockwell Automation ControlLogix PLCs.Mastery of Industrial Automation Safety Standards.Knowledge on UL508a, NFPA70, and NFPA79 standards.Knowledge in standard Industrial Automation Communication Protocols (Ethernet/IP, ASI, DeviceNet)Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment, prioritize projects and deliver quality results within tight time constraints.Strong interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of motor controls and robotics preferred.Our Environment Up to 35% of travel may be required.
