If so, keep reading to learn more about the exciting opportunity on our ASSA ABLOY Accessories Group Customer Outreach Program team This program is an integral part of our Business Development strategy and supports both the Accessories Group Business Development and the ASSA ABLOY DSS sales teams. We are now searching for a self-driven, highly motivated Business Development Customer Outreach Representative with exceptional communication, organization, negotiation, and training skills to join our team. The Accessories Group includes world-class door hardware brands such as Markar, McKinney Products, Pemko, and Rockwood Products. This position partners with a Regional Business Development Manager and works closely with the Door Security Solutions sales team within their assigned region. Each Business Development Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of 250+ small business customers, with the goal of encouraging organic growth through new product introductions, educating existing and potential customers about ASSA ABLOY products and programs, using competitive intelligence and data analysis to target new customers, generating leads for our BDM and DSS teams, and providing second-to-none customer experience encounters. Our current open position is located within our Southeast region, covering VA, TN, MS, AL, NC, SC, GA, FL, and parts of LA & TX. This is a remote-based position that may require occasional travel within the specified region (5-10%) to visit customers, ASSA ABLOY manufacturing plants, and attend trade shows. Core Responsibilities: Develop long-term, positive relationships with assigned customers. Educate customers and potential customers about Accessory Group products and programs. Grow AG brand revenue through competitive and data analysis to identify potential new opportunities, generating leads for Business Development Managers and/or DSS. Introduce new products to assigned customers, using a detailed understanding of the customer’s business and creating a value proposition to encourage new top-line sales. Cross-sell AG brands to the customer base through an in-depth understanding of each brand's core competencies and products. Assist customers with website training and navigating our various customer-facing websites (Web Shop, FLASH Ship, etc.). Gather, analyze, and report competitor information to Business Development Managers and DSS representatives. Resolve customer issues in a timely manner, using discretionary judgment as outlined within group policies. Lead/participate in special projects as required, including launching new Flash sites; new product launch marketing blitzes, etc. Job Requirements: Four-year degree strongly preferred; will consider individuals with significant relative experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience within a B2B inside sales, outside sales, or an advanced customer relations role (this is not a call center environment; customer service experience must come from working with complex customer issues, providing high-level, highly detailed solutions to WOW our customers). Comfortable meeting new people via phone, Teams video meetings, and email. Experience working remotely, self-motivated to excel, excellent time-management skills.
