About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to report to our VP of Growth. This is an on-site role based in our Brooklyn, New York office.

$160K target salary and competitive equity package

What does the role look like?

You'll be joining Whop as a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, directly supporting our VP of Growth. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional balance of analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with an acute desire to build in a fast-paced / ambiguous start-up environment and drive operational improvements.

The primary objective of the Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager is to develop and execute strategies that drive customer retention, engagement, and lifetime value. This role focuses on optimizing the customer journey while aiming to hit activation targets, ensuring personalized experiences, and leveraging data to improve marketing efforts across the lifecycle stages.

Your first 90 days will look like the following:
  • Within 30 days, you will develop a deep understanding of Whop's customer base and current lifecycle marketing efforts. Begin outlining initial strategies with focus on User Onboarding and Welcome Series. Launch the first set of lifecycle marketing campaigns aimed at improving customer activation and engagement.
  • Within 60 days, you will implement marketing automation workflows and start advanced segmentation for personalized campaigns. Provide an initial report on campaign performance and insights.
  • Within 90 days, you will achieve specified retention and engagement targets, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptation of strategies.
Who you are
  • Previous experience building and managing automated email marketing campaigns using tools like Iterable or Braze.
  • Experience with advanced segmentation techniques and implementing personalized marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement.
  • Proven track record of analyzing customer data and using insights to refine marketing tactics.
  • Previous role that required close collaboration with product teams to develop customer-centric marketing strategies.
  • Successfully launched a lifecycle marketing campaign that resulted in a significant increase in customer retention and engagement rates.
What you will be doing
  • You will bring us from a fragmented customer journey to a seamless, engaging experience that drives activation and discovery.
  • The Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager will figure out how to create effective lifecycle marketing campaigns and manage the day-to-day operations of these initiatives to ensure timely execution and optimal performance.
  • Leverage data to provide actionable insights and continuously improve our marketing strategies and customer engagement efforts.
  • Developing and executing targeted lifecycle marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, product surfaces and in-app messaging.
  • Analyzing customer data to identify trends, segmentation opportunities, and areas for improvement in the customer journey.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and analytics teams to align lifecycle marketing efforts with broader business goals and product roadmaps.
  • Manage and optimize marketing automation workflows to ensure timely and relevant communications with users.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, customer retention, and engagement.
  • Experience with Jira, Linear, Google Analytics, Iterable or other CRM Tech Stack, Metabase/Tableau/Sigma or similar dashboarding tool, and CMS tools.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing end-to-end lifecycle marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to segment customer bases and deliver personalized marketing messages.
  • Strong background in using data to drive marketing strategies and optimize campaign performance.
  • Experience working closely with product, sales, and analytics teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
  • A history of launching and managing successful marketing campaigns that led to measurable improvements in key metrics.
