About:
A top AmLaw 100 firm is currently seeking an Employee Benefits Associate to join their Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits Practice Group in Chicago. This team works with top-tier transactional practice groups, advising organisations on major transactions, restructurings and bankruptcy filings etc. In this role the candidate will be guiding clients through complex employee benefits issues arising in a wide variety of corporate transactions and restructuring matters with respect to qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, ESOPs, multi-employer plans and health and welfare benefits plans.
Experience:
The desired candidate must have two to four years of experience with ERISA and employee benefits, including qualified plans, multiemployer plans, health and welfare plans and ACA compliance. Candidates are also required to have significant M&A and/or restructuring experience within the employee benefits practice area and have excellent academic credentials and admission to practice in Illinois.
