The Ford Agency is recruiting for a Fundraising Specialist to join a busy association serving the academic community. This role will work with the full cycle donor giving process and collaborate with leadership on various strategies and events to drive fundraising and cultivate relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations. This is a great opportunity for an individual with at least 3 years of fundraising experience to take the next step in their career

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with leadership, sponsorship, and membership to create and manage a fundraising program
  • Set fundraising goals and collaborate with the team to meet those goals
  • Conduct donor research and develop strategies to convert prospects to donors
  • Build and maintain relationships with individuals, foundation, and corporate donors
  • Collaborate with communications team to update fundraising content

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3+ years of fundraising and/or donor relations experience within a higher education environment required
  • Professional communication skills
  • Experience meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, project management software, and Google Suite
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
