Senior Government Relations Specialist

NAMIC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Government Relations Specialist to join our team in Washington D.C. This is a unique opportunity to represent the interests of the property/casualty insurance industry before Congress and federal agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective legislative strategies to advance the interests of NAMIC and its member companies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key members of Congress and their staff.
- Represent NAMIC at fundraising events and other high-profile functions.
- Identify opportunities to report advocacy news to members through written, electronic, and oral presentations.
- Write and develop regular NAMIC member and Capitol Hill communications, including issue briefs and fact sheets.
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience on Capitol Hill or equivalent in the private sector.
- Familiarity with major Congressional committees of jurisdiction preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
