Job Summary The Head of Business Development, AdvanVOTced Infrared Products will help drive sales for Vital Materials, Infrared, Optics and Lasers business unit. Product portfolio is focused on commercial infrared systems and may include, but is not limited to, smartphone camera attachments, ruggedized phones, automotive camera systems (ADAS and FIR), thermography, firefighting cameras, maritime cameras, smart building applications and UAVs. By leveraging Vital’s vertical integration from raw materials to complete systems, global presence, and world-class engineering resources, the business development manager will help Vital establish and grow market share to become the ‘Commercial Infrared Company’. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute a comprehensive business unit sales strategy that aligns with the organization's overarching goals, with a specific focus on Infrared, Optics and Lasers. Sales Team Management:

Lead and manage the sales team, including sales managers and professionals, to set sales targets, develop sales strategies, and achieve revenue growth objectives. Market Penetration:

Identify and target key markets, industries, and customers for VOT products and solutions. Develop strategies for market penetration and expansion. Customer Relationship Management:

Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty. Act as a primary point of contact for major accounts. Technical Expertise:

Develop a deep understanding of VOT applications, and market trends to effectively communicate value propositions and solutions to customers. New Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to drive growth and expand the business unit's market presence. Performance Metrics:

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, regularly reporting on these metrics to senior management to measure success and progress. Budget Management:

Manage and allocate budgets for sales activities effectively, ensuring resources are used efficiently to achieve sales objectives. Skills and Experience: 10+ years’ experience in commercial optical and infrared systems sales Experienced with, and passionate about, effective CRM use. Education: B.S. in Engineering or Business Travel: Regular domestic and occasional international travel is required.
