Role Overview
In this position, you will spearhead the exploration and development of nanoimprint processes for cutting-edge diffractive optical components that enhance our display and sensor technologies. Your work will involve addressing novel technical challenges and contributing to groundbreaking advancements in optics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of nanoimprint processes for optical components, guiding projects from initial concept through to high-fidelity prototypes and final product delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement manufacturable and cost-effective solutions for advanced nano-patterning technologies.
- Oversee interactions with Product Design, Engineering/Operations, and global suppliers to fine-tune and optimize the nanoimprint lithography processes.
- Conduct analyses to identify and rectify failures, enhancing component performance.
- Deliver engaging presentations and comprehensive reports to various stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in Engineering Physics, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Hands-on expertise in nanoimprint technology, including equipment configurations and process workflows.
- In-depth knowledge of material properties, selection, and the intricacies of nanoimprint surface treatments.
- Familiarity with nanoimprint mold fabrication, resin formulations, and other essential processes such as etching and thin-film deposition.
- Proficient in characterization methods for nano-fabrication and optical devices.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and management.
- Experience managing domestic and international suppliers, with a willingness to travel as needed.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a knack for root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of diffractive optics or nano-photonics.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing of nanostructured optical components.
Compensation and Benefits
At Apple, your base pay is just one aspect of our comprehensive compensation package, which is designed to reward your growth and contributions. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, contingent upon your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees have the opportunity to participate in stock programs and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
