LXT is seeking an exceptional, growth-oriented sales leader to join our team as Director of Sales, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer. As a Director of Sales, you will play a leadership role in a world-class sales organization growing LXT's business through strong client relationships. You will acquire new customers and provide long-term support as an account manager for existing clients. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of LXT's business model and to understand the technical needs of LXT's clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy
  • You support the development and implementation of comprehensive sales strategies in alignment with LXT's growth objectives.
  • You identify new market opportunities and create plans to capture them.
Leadership
  • You lead by example - you are an exemplary role model to your reports and to your peers.
  • You inspire and empower others to achieve their goals.
Prospecting and closing new business
  • You actively use a range of methodologies and tools to contact and acquire new customers for LXT, further solidifying our market position.
  • You are comfortable using a range of CRM tools to track and report on your activities.
  • You apply proven prospecting strategies to get to the right decision makers at target companies.
  • You are adept at identifying ICPs and target personas, etc.
Account management
  • Your approach to sales is client centric and solutions oriented.
  • During the sales process, our customers perceive you as a trusted partner who will be there for them throughout the lifecycle of the relationship through:
  • Solution-oriented consultative selling
  • Proposal creation
  • Negotiation
  • Successful deal-closure
  • Operational hand-over
  • Post-project follow-up
  • Ad hoc interaction as needed
  • You see and act upon opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell with new and existing customers.
Networking
  • Travel will be required as part of this role.
  • You enjoy maintaining and expanding your network at meetings and industry events. Ideally, you already know some of the decision-makers in the industry.
  • You leverage your contacts to generate leads and gather information.
Deal ownership
  • It is your responsibility to manage your quotes end-to-end. This includes working with internal stakeholders to gather inputs, putting together pricing models, and communicating the proposal to customers.
Marketing and GTM strategies
  • You work closely with the VP of Marketing to drive pipeline generation initiatives and create brand awareness.
  • Through continuous interaction with experts in the market and following industry news, you identify trends and innovations early on. You successfully transform these insights prospecting and outreach strategies.
Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of industry needs and challenges.
  • Familiarity with the development of products, solutions, and services.
  • Proactive in keeping up to date with market trends and competitive intelligence.
Proficiency in Relevant Complex Sales or Project Delivery:
  • Over 10 years of experience in selling or delivering complex and bespoke solutions in a technical environment.
  • Ideally experienced in AI-related industries, including language technology (e.g., speech recognition, chatbots) or image/video (e.g., OCR, autonomous vehicles).
Independence and Adaptability:
  • Self-starter capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Skilled at identifying priorities and managing ambiguity.
  • Ability to adapt easily to change in a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing industry.
Advanced Skills in Excel and Other Productivity Tools:
  • Extensive experience in creating and managing complex pricing models.
  • Confidence in presenting pricing models to clients, peers, or senior management.
Fluent Communication:
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a natural ability to build relationships, both internally and externally.
Team-Player:
  • Strong team player who promotes a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
University Degree:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degrees are an advantage.
