We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our innovative team at Firehawk Aerospace, a Series B defense technology startup revolutionizing propulsion technology for aerospace and defense applications. The Director of HR will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our human resources strategy, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting our rapid growth. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with senior management to align HR and operational strategies with overall business goals Coordinate with team leads to streamline processes and improve cross-functional collaboration Manage the talent acquisition process to ensure the right people are hired at the right time Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy Oversee and manage HR functions including onboarding, compensation, benefits, training, and development Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances Partner with leadership to foster a positive and inclusive company culture Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in human resources management and operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated strong business acumen. Ability to understand and operationalize complex personnel needs and objectives. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
