Purpose of Job:

The E-Commerce Marketplace Manager will play a pivotal role in managing our presence and optimizing sales on various online marketplaces. This position requires a deep understanding of e-commerce, online marketplaces, and digital marketing strategies. The E-Commerce Marketplace Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring product visibility, and maintaining a positive brand image across multiple online platforms.

Job Components:

Marketplace Management:

  • Take lead role for assigned marketplace(s) and drive assigned accounts to achieve or exceed AOP
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations on various online marketplaces, ensuring product listings are accurate, up-to-date, and optimized for search.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue on online platforms.
  • Analyze sales data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Create and manage product listings, ensuring high-quality content, compelling product descriptions, and attractive visuals to maximize conversion rates.
  • Monitor pricing trends and adjust strategies to remain competitive in the marketplace.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely order fulfillment.
  • Address any issues related to order processing, shipping, and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and reviews promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize customer feedback to enhance product offerings and improve the overall customer experience.
Marketing and Promotions:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns on online marketplaces.
  • Utilize digital marketing tools and techniques to drive traffic and increase conversion rates
  • Help in the creation and upkeep of advertising PPC campaigns informed by keyword research, market & competitive research, and strategies.
  • Improve the performance and sales of campaigns through strategic optimizations while maintaining an optimization log for sharing insights.
  • Evaluate and improve on current practices, automate common processes, and take the initiative to improve current business.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
  • Stay informed about marketplace policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure all product listings and business practices comply with the rules and regulations of each online marketplace.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. (Or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years e-commerce experience preferably in a marketplace management or similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, online marketplaces, and digital marketing tools.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, or other major online marketplaces.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools and e-commerce management systems.
  • Expert in Excel
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A multi-tasker who proactively seeks out opportunities to support the team with a can-do and follow-through attitude.
  • Experience working directly with Amazon in Vendor or Seller Central, or other e-commerce related platforms, a plus.
Scope Data:
  • Works cross-functionally with internal departments and external customers.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Prolonged use of personal computer and telephone.
