Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the people operations at Lifelong, maintains the HRIS and is often the initial point of contact to support employees. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional to grow and expand their experience. As a small HR team, we wear many hats. The ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to participate and shape the way we work in multiple areas. This is a regular full time, non-exempt regular position.

Qualifications

Essential Duties:
  • Responsible for the administration of HRIS and ATS, including processing of employee changes, new hires, separations, compensation updates
  • Assist the HR Team by helping ensure prompt guidance is provided to employees on issues such as standard procedures, leave policies, benefits, timekeeping, etc.
  • Support compliance in the maintenance and updates of all employee files/records - I9s, background checks, E-Verify, etc.
  • Support recruiting efforts by editing and posting job openings, preparing offer letters and initiating onboarding processes
  • Coordinate and assist with HR programs and special projects
  • Support HR's role partnering with Finance in the preparation of semi-monthly payroll processing
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and improvement of people operations processes, procedures, and policies
  • Provide general administrative support to HR
  • Other duties as assigned
Core Competencies:
  • Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Experience with accurately maintaining HRIS; knowledge of Paycom a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to successfully
  • Demonstrated ability of ensuring assigned projects are completed timely and accurately
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative when needed
  • Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking systems preferred
  • Willingness to learn and grow as an HR professional and Lifelong staff member
Education and Experience:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and related work experience
  • 1-3 years' experience in HR required


Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position with office requirements 2-3 times a week in the Georgetown area south of downtown

The position requires a lot of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer; and it also requires the ability to life up to 15 lbs.

All staff are currently required to proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required upon hiring.
