Currently seeking an experienced resident Liability Claim Adjuster (or Senior Adjuster) to provide quality, cost efficient, and timely investigation of liability claims and provide exceptional customer service. The selected candidate will handle claims for the Mid-Atlantic Regional states of Virginia, Maryland or Pennsylvania. With our One Team approach, the Claim staff partners with UW and Risk Control to meet the needs of valued agency partners and policyholders. Responsibilities include managing an inventory of claims handled within departmental guidelines, following best practices and procedures and budgetary guidelines. The selected candidate will evaluate coverage and complete field investigations with a focus on quality claim handing leading to file resolution.

* Minimum of two years commercial casualty claim adjusting experience; four or more years experience for a Senior level

* Bachelors degree or better, preferred (NOTE -Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education)

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

* Experience in coverage analysis and litigation management

* Effective and proven negotiating skills

* Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods

* Valid driver's license and safe driving record
