Are you excited by the prospect of applying your fundraising expertise to an organization tackling some of the nation's most complex challenges?

As the Director, Place-Based Partnerships on our Development team, you will be responsible for building and cultivating investor portfolios within identified regions (consisting of key business leaders, philanthropic leaders, and donor partners) to contribute their time, talent, and resources to change paradigms around poverty and community. You will be responsible for deploying Stand Together's capabilities to leverage opportunities in select cities working alongside business leaders with ties to the local community. To be successful in the role, you will develop and execute regional fundraising campaigns to fund $5m+ initiatives over a determined amount of time (expected 3-5 years) through various strategies including prospecting, direct response, social media, email, video content, in-person cultivation and solicitation, events, etc.

Your Responsibilities Include

    • Design and implement strategies to steward and grow existing investor engagement and contributions, and actively cultivate prospective investors.
    • Develop and execute Moves Management strategies for investors and prospects through stages of engagement, investment, and leadership.
    • Collaborate with donor communications and marketing teams to create and execute personalized communication and engagement plans for each donor and prospective partner through written communications, events, and in-person engagement opportunities.
    • Develop a toolkit for investors and social entrepreneurs to represent Stand Together and the associated opportunity within their networks and referrals.
    • Create a public presence and start building awareness and momentum in the respective communities including earned and organic media, videos, community events, etc.
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
    • 7+ years of demonstrated experience originating, cultivating and stewarding donor relationships.
    • Proven track record of soliciting major gifts through thoughtful and entrepreneurial relationship and moves management.
    • High level of humility and integrity.
    • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and a high sense of urgency.
    • Aligned and excited for the vision and values of Stand Together.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
    • Understands the principles of effective marketing, communication, and persuasion.
    • Ability to drive moves managements plans for multiple concurrent projects/funding opportunities to completion through continuous transformation and an entrepreneurial approach.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States.
