The Business Intelligence Developer will be part of a team that designs and develops YETI’s enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytical systems. This position offers a rare opportunity to join a team that acts as a center of excellence for several analytic teams throughout YETI. This role requires a blend of data visualization and Tableau site administration skills. Responsibilities: Create, prototype, modify, test, and deploy reports to production while working closely with the end users. Understand data needs and translate user requirements into technical requirements. Analyze requests for data needs and prioritize project and ad-hoc efforts. Assist the data engineering team in designing data models for optimized Tableau Reporting. Manage Tableau security groups and row-level security within Tableau Online and reporting. Maintain Tableau Online report environment, monitor usage, schedule data extracts, and provide new user training for the business analytic groups. Investigate and resolve technical issues within the BI Environment and ETL processes. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Attributes: Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, or related fields. At least 5 years of work experience in data analysis and reporting, working directly with business customers, understanding their requirements, and recommending solutions. At least 4 years of experience writing complex SQL queries to pull data from the data warehouse. Knowledge in data visualization best practices. Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL. Experience with Google Big Query or similar Cloud Database Platforms. Experience administrating Tableau Online. Experience working collaboratively with data engineers and source system subject matter experts. Ability to work iteratively and convert business requirements into quick prototypes with different visualization options. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and overlapping timelines. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Ability to learn new and existing technologies. Strong skills and comfort level with Excel and other MS Office tools. Experience working with onshore and offshore teams. Tableau certification or master’s degree. Power BI experience. Experience with Python or similar programming languages.
