The Training Business Partner will build relationships with retail business unit leaders and lenders to develop and enhance in depth knowledge of credit, product and all retail lines of business. Will serve as a Retail Training resource that will align individual skills and performance with organizational goals across the credit union.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to retail leaders, assisting in solving the unique people, performance and training challenges in their business unit.
  • Develops long-term training and skill path plans for each lender.
  • Responsible for development of initial and ongoing product and credit training.
  • Designs/sources and implements assigned retail learning solutions, and determine modes of delivery, including instructor-led or virtual live, or one on one training to ensure lift of individual retail skills.
  • Develops or sources materials for the agreed upon retail learning initiatives that support the mission, vision and objectives for the organization.
  • Keeps programs and related materials current and relevant to the business needs and strategies.
  • Manages the planning and execution of credit product training for all new lenders and continuous training during first year of lending.
  • Leads SME (subject matter experts) project teams in identifying and developing or sourcing content for specific programs/initiatives.
  • Designs and develops training materials and/or job aides.
  • Continuously monitor sand identifies training gaps in specific business unit (lending) and job roles and provide feedback to retail leadership for curriculum and content development.
  • Assists in building a retail team member continuous training strategy that will impact areas of attention identified in engagement surveys.
  • Assists management with development planning for high potential associates.
  • Anticipates, evaluates, and communicates needs proactively between HR and the business unit, providing improvement feedback and integrated solutions.
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's function, goals and objectives, industry position and competition.
  • Maintains administration of the Learning Management System
  • Maintains administration of the FCCU knowledge base and online reference materials.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to build relationships effectively and quickly, and support team member development at all levels and across different functions.
  • Excellent project management, planning and analytical skills; ability to influence through data-driven recommendations.
  • Poised professional with excellent communication skills with a focus on facilitating challenging discussions and navigating difficult conversations.
  • Broad experience/knowledge of best practices in team member engagement and goal achievement, with particular emphasis in banking industry a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree; Exceptional candidates with a minimum of a high school diploma and credit union experience may be substituted for education.
  • A minimum of 1+ years' experience with training or leadership with development responsibility, or 10+ years of lending experience required.
