We're on the lookout for an experienced and adaptable Senior Accountant to join our growing team. Responsibilities
  • Prepare month-end financial statements and spearhead month-end close procedures.
  • Create and post monthly general ledger journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Aid in developing labor and overhead standard costs and conduct monthly evaluations comparing standard costs to actual costs.
  • Collaborate with the operations team on inventory existence testing and obsolescence determination.
  • Supervise fixed asset processing and depreciation entries to maintain accurate records.
  • Manage and reconcile all intercompany accounts to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of all cash accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Assist the sales team in processing sales orders and tracking customer invoices.
  • Collect and record cash payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Support external tax accountants in preparing annual corporate tax returns.
  • Aid with all audit and financial review engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage with customers, suppliers, and other business professionals to maintain positive relationships.
  • Oversee and offer guidance to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Superior organizational skills, analytical skills, time management and prioritization abilities
  • A minimum of 3 years working with an ERP system in multiple modules.
  • Effective interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication; good judgment and ability to interact with different levels of management and teams
  • Pragmatic and pro-active problem resolution skills required
  • High personal standard of attention to detail required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of business operations and internal information is required
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with an excellent work ethic
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with a minimum of intermediate-level proficiency in Excel
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must be able to pass background and credit checks

Requirements: 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing industry experience with a strong knowledge of inventory controls and cost accounting will provide a significant advantage
  • Experience with the set up and maintaining of a General Ledger structure is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Internal Controls within a Sarbanes Oxley framework or Quality Management system is a plus
