We offer a wide range of veterinary services including anesthesiology, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, emergency care, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, physical rehabilitation, radioactive iodine therapy, surgery, and urgent care. We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology department About the role: Master neurological anatomy and function Perform high-quality anesthetic induction, monitoring, and maintenance for surgeries and imaging Calculate medication and fluid doses for administration to hospitalized patients Assist in surgeries and advanced imaging procedures Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, etc. Perform and recognize normal physical examination parameters on canine and feline patients Noticing and documenting changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in condition Acquire histories and assist during neurologic consultations Positively impact patient care through collaboration with the Neurologist Participate in client educationUtilize practice management software to maintain client and patient records Participate in helping paralyzed patients walk again Carrying out or setting up procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance Compensation Range: $26 - $40 hr plus shift differentials and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for new full-time employees Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Basic Required Qualifications: CA RVT preferred but not required 3+ years in a Specialty setting in the veterinary industry Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations Work Schedule: Full-Time 4/10 Schedule Perks: Sign-on bonus up to $3,000 On-site Veterinary Social Worker Monthly in-house RACE-approved courses and staff development opportunities for all employees Get paid to learn We’ll cover eligible expenses for continuing education and coursework We also pay YOU when you hit major career milestones, earn your RVT or your VTS and get a cash bonus Ethos is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
