Constituent Database Specialist

The specialist will be primary lead for management of the constituent database (or CRM), performing data entry for ResearchAmerica contacts, and managing and validating all data in the database.

Responsibilities include:

  • Regular quality entries, updates, and imports in constituent database / CRM (CharityEngine). Provide research support for key contact identification and cultivation to maintain accurate information.
  • Manage and maintain the database, to include all ResearchAmerica contacts and events. Oversee data integrity and usage, perform regular quality control and address inefficiencies. Act as primary database support to ResearchAmerica colleagues.
  • Train staff and develop procedures to ensure database processes are followed.
  • Keep up with CharityEngine releases and webinars in order to inform and train employees in new features. Meet regularly with key users to review responsibilities, provide best practices, identify needs and propose ways to use CharityEngine to enhance and support their work.
  • Create queries, reports, and webforms as needed for support and analysis of ResearchAmericas fundraising, electronic communications, initiatives, programs, events, and projects. Manage clean registration lists for events. Provide analysis of data required for audits.
  • As a member of the Operations Team, provide administrative support for routine office operations as well as special projects.

Candidates must have a bachelors degree, a minimum of 3 years of experience with proficiency working with a CRM (i.e. Salesforce) or fundraising database, a mastery of Microsoft Office and office technologies, and excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented; produces consistently superior data entry; is a strategic thinker; is self-motivated and able to meet and manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment; and demonstrates sound judgement, effective problem-solving skills, and excellent decision-making. Experience with CharityEngine and Asana is a plus.
