Role Summary: ACT1 Federal is seeking a qualified Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage the complete recruitment cycle. This role involves sourcing, evaluating, and onboarding candidates as the organization expands. You will collaborate with departmental leaders to assess staffing requirements and facilitate the recruitment process for prospective employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with hiring managers to develop job requisitions, utilizing the compensation framework to outline responsibilities and salary recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers and program leads to understand their specific needs and organizational culture, ensuring the recruitment of suitable candidates.
  • Oversee job postings and advertising strategies in alignment with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Utilize diverse sourcing methods, including databases, networking, job fairs, and referrals, to identify potential candidates.
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Facilitate applicant assessments, provide information on company benefits, and coordinate background checks to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with hiring managers regarding the status of recruitment efforts and candidate quality throughout the hiring process.
  • Document all candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Research and implement innovative sourcing strategies to enhance recruitment efforts for direct and contingent hires.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience in recruitment, particularly within the government contracting sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DoD clearances, government contracting, and OFCCP regulations.
  • Experience in filling both direct and contingent roles across various functions such as Finance, Engineering, and Program Management.
  • Proficient in various interview techniques, including phone and panel interviews.
  • Strong research skills, particularly in candidate sourcing and database mining.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and escalate complex issues as necessary.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with Workable ATS is a plus.
