Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Risk and Compliance Intern to join our team and assist with critical aspects of vendor risk management, data analysis, and compliance within our organization. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic fields of information security, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Assist in identifying vendor risks and conducting data analysis.
Review and update Information Security Policies under the guidance of senior team members.
Facilitate the preparation and delivery of vendor questionnaires.
Analyze questionnaire responses to assess the risk posed to our organization.
Monitor vendor risk profiles for any changes and generate reports or alerts as needed.
Review documentation and policies to ensure regulatory and system compliance.
Support internal audits and risk assessments led by the Director of Risk and Compliance.
Gain practical experience with various vendor risk management platforms.
Assist with Security Awareness Training.
Develop Phishing Simulations.
Help facilitate Cyber Security Awareness Month Activities and Training.
Qualifications:
Must be in good academic standing.
Minimum GPA of 2.5.
Available to work 20 hours per week.
Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
Location: Downtown TaxSlayer office.
Hours: Must be available 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm.
Internships are hourly positions paid at $15.00 per hour.
