The selected candidate will be responsible for providing specialized knowledge in the evaluation and examination of Army documentation and various system details within the eMASS platform, specifically related to Army SIPRNet and NIPRNet Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and detailed assessments of Army Authorization packages.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of network architecture.
  • Create and review data flow diagrams.
  • Compile hardware and software inventories.
  • Review Tenant Security Plans (TSP) and System Security Plans (SSP).
  • Analyze System Assessment Reports and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M).
  • Evaluate privacy statements and Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) registrations.
  • Ensure compliance with Host-Based Security System (HBSS) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) standards.
  • Assess adherence to Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and supporting documentation for security controls.

Provide guidance to Information System Owners and Program Managers on the necessary corrections and updates to RMF documentation and eMASS entries prior to final submission to the Program Information System Security Manager (P-ISSM). Deliver high-quality customer support in a professional manner.

Engage in discussions regarding RMF evaluations and related Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) matters. Offer recommendations to the P-ISSM concerning accreditation decisions.

Collaborate with the 7th Signal Command (Theater) P-ISSM to maintain uniformity in methods, processes, and configurations for RMF packages across the area of responsibility.


Qualifications:
  • Must possess a secret security clearance.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in conducting security control assessments (RMF experience preferred).
  • Expertise in Army networking, topology, data flows, and regulatory requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Certification in accordance with DoD 8140 for cybersecurity functions.
  • Proficient in reviewing RMF assessment findings and evaluating associated security risks.
  • Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and the RMF Knowledge Service.
  • Knowledge of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS).
  • Understanding of security controls as outlined in NIST Special Publication.

Support Hours: The Government requires support from Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
