Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Risk Management Coordinator to join our team at the City of Augusta GA. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Develop and implement effective safety programs and procedures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate and report on workplace accidents and incidents.
  • Collaborate with department heads and supervisors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain safety records and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business Administration, Management, Occupational Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in occupational health and safety or public/private sector risk and safety programs.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Defensive Driver Certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA certification.
  • Certified Playground Inspector (CPI) certification.
  • Experience with safety software and technology.
