Overview:
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Our MISSION is to help ensure the security of the United States and its allies by providing high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities through operations, engineering, education, field, and integration services and by acting as environmental stewards to the Sites Cold War legacy. Our VISION is to be the user site of choice for large-scale, high-hazard, national security experimentation, with premier facilities and capabilities below ground, on the ground, and in the air. The University Relations Coordinator is responsible for a variety of essential activities that increases the visibility of our brand on college/university campuses and attracts students and alumni to apply to open positions. The University Relations Coordinator's primary function is to help execute the tactical elements of the NNSS outreach to a variety of colleges and universities, alumni associations, etc. under the supervision of the Talent Acquisition Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a strong and motivated team member, committed to upholding high standards for the NNSS and strengthening communication both within Talent Acquisition and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and maintaining outreach communications for newly identified university and external partners (i.e. career service reps, key faculty, diversity organizations, etc.)
- Plan and execute campus events for recruitment and relationship building.
- Facilitate registration for employees attending events.
- Audits and maintains company swag inventory, including distribution of materials.
- Evaluates progress and results of university relations events
- Travel to and participate in events.
- Key player/co-leader in supporting the Student Program initiative.
- Research, report on and recommend different University programs as well as market, maintain and establish our brand on campus.
- Enhances organizational and individual awareness of diversity in the workplace.
- Collaborate with vendors such as Handshake and Yello to post open positions.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field and at 2 years of professional level experience, or equivalent training and experience.
- Experience in University Relations and Recruiting required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan and organize effectively.
- Travel up to 30%.
- The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Full-Time Work schedule: 4/10s Monday-Thursday with flexibility to work additional hours/days when required by management.
- Position is hybrid 2-3 days on site/weekly.
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, Identity, Credential, and Access Management, and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.

Annual salary range for this position is: $62,358.40 to $93,537.60.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
