Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Coordinator - Team Member Relations is to assist the TMR Sr. Manager and Specialists with any management and team members' issues, concerns, questions, communication and/or clarification of policies and procedures. Team members and management should feel free to talk to the Team Member Relations Coordinator at any time.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the TMR Specialists with the administrative preparation of Due Process Meetings, Peer Reviews, Sensitivity Training and interviews.
  • Assist with TMR special projects such as HR Leaders for department safety, documenting key metrics for community events, and updating key processes such as the Clearance Process.
  • Review counseling and/or performance paperwork and responsible for the data entry of employee work actions into ADP system.
  • Assist with verbal and/or written translations.
  • Serve as back up for HR receptionist by greeting and screening Team Members to determine questions or concerns.
  • Support team member events and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to the Company's status quo third party representation philosophy; comply with Company policies and legal requirements.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review files for necessary documentation and close the files.
  • Addressing basic questions or issues with Team Members and escalating more complex situations.
  • Initiate Gaming Control Board license process for Team Members by ensuring proper payment and completion of application.
  • Assist Team Member with password resets.
  • Conduct basic Due Process Meetings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English both in oral and written form.
  • Maintains a professional, neat and well groomed appearance adhering to The Venetian | The Palazzo appearance standards.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains consistent adherence to The Venetian Resort's Unmatched Guest Service Standards.
  • Ability to listen effectively.
  • Prepare confidential investigative files and other administrative tasks to resolve all matters in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain highly confidential hotel, policy and team member information.
  • Manage time effectively, prioritizing work according to value add and risk level.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:
-21 years of age.

  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Nevada Gaming License or the ability to obtain one.
  • One to three years of human resources experience, with an emphasis on employee relations in a fast paced industry, such as hospitality or retail.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Employee/Labor Relations, Worker's Compensation, Title 7, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, Wage and Hour and Unemployment Law.
  • Bi lingual in English/Spanish, both in written and spoken form preferred.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills required and ability to engage team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to quickly build trust, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers.
  • Ability to effectively manage change and stressful situations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Ability to achieve results in a fast paced dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong technical/computer skills including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated organization, strong attention to detail, and follow up skills.
