Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist will be based in Miami to support the company’s Human Resources Department. This position will handle various responsibilities across multiple HR functions such as recruitment, payroll processing and compliance in multiple markets. The ideal individual must be able to handle confidential matters with discretion, exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, possess strong written and verbal communication, demonstrate high-level administrative and organizational skills, and proven success maintaining a realistic balance among multiple, shifting priorities.The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience in HR principles and best practices and be able to work effectively with employees at all levels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining current HR files and databases by updating and maintaining employment status, and employment records. Working with Corporate HR to support file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained. Processing payroll, which includes commissions payroll while partnering with market’s HR Liaisons. Answering payroll questions and facilitating resolutions to any payroll errors. Run vacation and sick time reports and distribute to markets for tracking. Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads, identifying candidates and issuing offer letters. Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth integration for new hires. Ensuring the completion of benefit enrollment process. Ensuring background checks are completed. Serving as a point person for all new employee questions in multiple markets. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity. Complete termination paperwork and assist with exit interviews. Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices. Working hand in hand with hiring manager as it pertains personnel conduct, hiring, terminations, or labor law aspects regarding business. Performing payroll and benefits audits and recommending any correction action. Liaise with benefit vendors and brokers to resolve benefit administration issues. Acting as the point of contact between the executives and internal or external colleagues. Prepare Personnel Action Form (PAF) via company’s intranet for any employee changes. Prepare Personnel Action Form (PAF) report to present to management for approval. Takes notes in team meetings and follows up to make sure deadlines are met. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Provide assistance using independent judgment and discretion to determine those requiring priority attentions. Effectively use the latest technology and platforms to generate, keep, organize, and share documents, such as Outlook 365, Teams, OneDrive, etc., as well as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Compose and prepare correspondence (presentations, memos, emails) on request. Demonstrates an appropriate level of discretion and confidentiality in managing and placing calls, messages, correspondence, and documents. Take initiative to assist as issues arise and find/propose solutions to problems as they arise. Effectively coordinate the resolution of problems and roadblocks as they occur. Coordinate with multi-functional, multi-departmental teams to support events and projects. Essential duties and responsibilities are those most important or most frequently performed duties. Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as required. Supervisory Responsibilities None 3-5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist working within a Human Resources Department with demonstrated experience in HR principles and best practices. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Interpersonal skills: Someone in this position has constant interaction with company employees and must be able to maintain a positive demeanor throughout even the most difficult situations. Must be flexible, poised, and able to manage multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision. High level of integrity and the ability to always maintain confidentiality. Excellent time-management, organizational and follow-up skills. Should possess strong PC Skills, including proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint, MicroSoft365, TEAMS and similar technology driven communication platforms. Knowledge in ADP Workforce Now. Clear and positive communicator, developing solid relationships with people at all levels. Must be trustworthy and able to handle confidential and sensitive information. Problem solver. Pitches in to help where and whenever possible. Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to understand written and oral instructions. Able to act in a proactive manner and solve challenges with limited direction. Experience working with teams in different geographies/time zones a plus. Physical Requirements Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
