AGEC is an industry leader in the manufacturing and supply of ground support equipment (GSE) to global commercial and military customers and end users. AGEC operates two divisions, our OEM division designs and produces world-class GSE supporting a wide range of military aircraft platforms, on behalf of defense prime contractors and Government program offices. Our Commercial Division distributes a superior line of ground support equipment, parts, and service to global MRO, airline operators, Government agencies, and aviation end users.

What you will do:

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist with posting job openings on various job boards and the company website utilizing the ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • Maintain the ATS system and ensure data accuracy.
  • Review resumes and present potential candidates to the hiring manager.
  • Conduct phone screens and provide feedback to the HR Manager and the hiring manager.
  • Schedule phone and on-site interviews and coordinate with the candidate and hiring manager.
  • Distribute pre-employment paperwork to candidates.
  • Prepare the new hire folder and ensure pre-employment paperwork is complete.
  • Initiate the drug and background screenings, follow the status, and communicate with the new hire on the status of their start date.

Employee Onboarding:

  • Prepare onboarding materials for new hire orientation sessions.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions after shadowing the HR manager.
  • Assist with new hire paperwork and ensure completion of required documentation.
  • Within 3-6 months will set up new hire profiles in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) ADP and maintain accurate employee records.

Benefit Administration:

  • Learn and understand AGEC’s benefit plans.
  • Answer employee inquiries regarding benefit coverage, eligibility, and enrollment procedures.
  • Assist with organizing and conducting benefits presentations and open enrollment sessions.
  • Partner with the HR Manager in transitioning benefits to a new platform.

HR Compliance:

  • Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related communications, policies, and forms as needed per the HR manager.
  • Assist with maintaining employee handbooks and AGEC company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and learn the Quality Management System (QT9) to stay compliant with HR policies for yearly audits.

HR Projects:

  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Establish relationships with all employees and become a trusted partner.
  • Learn and understand employee relation matters such as complaints, issues and resolutions.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining files.

What you will need:

  • Associate degree or 1-3 years of experience in a human resource administrative role and/or recruiting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exposure to payroll practices or experience processing payroll.
  • Strong follow-up skills with candidates and employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-orientated with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
