This includes financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash management. This individual will work closely with the corporate finance team on building out processes, overseeing data and taking on financial transformation projects. Responsibilities: Design payable process in conjunction with CAO in addition to working on financial transformation projects with the core team while owning the process and function build out. Develop and streamline processes improvement strategies to support A/P billing process by digging into data to create efficiencies for the larger team. Other system and process improvements, as well as management reporting and analysis, and supporting other tasks within the accounting team and the broader organization. Responsible for the general ledgers for assigned properties, including monthly journal entries, income and expense accruals, expense recovery true-ups review, GAAP adjustments and bank reconciliations. Document meaningful explanations for fluctuations to help management make business decisions by collaborating cross departmentally with FP&A teams. Understanding of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash receipts and lease administration functions of how they drive the financial results of assigned project. Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including analyses and support schedules of all balance sheet account and explanations of significant variances in income statement accounts. Review annual expense reconciliation schedules and billings to tenants. Prepare detailed interim and year-end working papers and support schedules requested by internal and external auditors. Prepare the draft annual financial statements and notes. Assist with audits in terms of research, analysis, documentation and response. Responsible for the annual budget and quarterly forecast review, including review of lease and expense data in the prescribed software to generate revenue, expense and capital budget/forecasts, and preparation of GAAP adjustments. Assist in preparation of the budget/forecast packages including detailed analysis of the revenue, expense and capital components. Prepare monthly cash forecast. Assist with various ad hoc requests. Handle special projects, as assigned. Desired Competency, Experience and Skills: High level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical ability and effective time management. Motivated and driven by growing within the role and organization. Well-organized; self-starter, able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. 1+ years of public/corporate accounting . Knowledge of GAAP. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Experience in JD Edwards and Oracle would be great, but not required. Proficiency in PC-based software. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including experience with: Vlookups, pivot tables, Macros, formulas, enhanced reporting, custom filters, charts, data validation, conditional formatting, and VBA.
