Administrative Analyst, Training and Risk Under supervision of the Senior Training and Development Analyst, this position will assist with the coordination and development of the City’s training and organizational development programs; planning and execution of employee engagement events; and research and analysis of employee risk and safety patterns and strategies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Training and Development Assists with coordinating, organizing, and facilitating employee development and training programs, including, but not limited to, the Mentoring Program, Job Shadowing Program, Lessons Learned sessions, Information Sessions, Supervisor Series, Leadership Academy and Internship Program . Researches content and assists with development and modifications to citywide trainings. Develops and maintains organizational communications such as citywide announcements, monthly calendar updates and weekly emails to ensure employees have knowledge of training programs and resources. Assists with measuring training programs to ensure they are meeting the needs of employees and the organization; tracks participation and program completion. Monitors training and development budget to ensure proper use of funds and assists with forecasting training needs. Engagement and Wellness Programming Assists with supporting and coordinating employee wellness programs in coordination with the City’s employee-driven WorkWell committee; prepares meeting agendas; follows up on program development; drafts wellness communication; serves as backup facilitator for WorkWell meetings as needed. Evaluates programs by keeping statistical reports and makes recommendations on program changes. Plans and coordinates logistics for multiple Citywide events, including employee meetings, recognition programs, and teambuilding events. Monitors WorkWell budget to ensure proper use of funds and assists with forecasting wellness needs. Employee Risk and Safety Assists in the development, implementation, and review of risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. Collects, analyzes, and interprets risk-related data to support decision-making processes; prepares and presents detailed reports on risk metrics, trends, and performance indicators. Assists in identifying, evaluating, and documenting potential risks and vulnerabilities; supports the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks. Monitors risk management budget to ensure proper use of funds and assists with forecasting employee health and safety needs. Other human resources projects as assigned. Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or related field. Experience in human resources, training or employee development/engagement is highly desirable . Experience in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, SurveyMonkey, SmartSheet, and training design software is highly desirable . Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary will be considered. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class C California driver license. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate personal accountability over their work. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion and use good judgment. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and community partners. Ability to track and manage budgets with thoroughness and accuracy. Proven initiative, motivation, and creativity. Ability to lift, drag, and push files, paper, documents, and event supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. Additional Information This position will remain open until filled. Compensation includes enrollment in California Public Employees’ Retirement System as a replacement for Social Security plus a competitive benefits package.
