This is a remote field position based in a home office. We are flexible on your location throughout the region from Illinois to Texas but ask that you are within one hour of a major airport. Region includes IL, TX, CO, OK, KY, TN, OH, and MI.

You will direct all sales activity for your assigned list of leading foodservice national accounts across varying US geographies. Maintain and expand business with active operator accounts using a targeted, portfolio sales approach. Develop new and profitable business through identification of solutions to support customer menu needs and enhance menu usage. Conduct annual business reviews and develop sales pipeline plan to further reach or secure new business within assigned list of operator accounts. Coordinate with sales leadership to ensure sales coverage and service levels. Help develop and execute annual sales budget. Reporting to a Senior Director, you will work in a manner consistent with Conagra's timeless values of integrity, external focus, broadmindedness, agility, leadership and results.

Your Impact:

  • Manage customer relationship at all levels within assigned national accounts.
  • Analyze business trends to develop account growth strategy and manage opportunity pipeline.
  • Create sales plan through the annual business cycle, maximizing sales and profit within brand strategies and guidelines.
  • Focus on generating profitable business through development of sales strategies consistent with customer goals.
  • Gain customer approval on quarterly, bi-annual, or annual pricing programs based on negotiated terms with assigned accounts.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed portfolio expansion.
  • Help manage forecast accuracy for existing, new business, and new product launches.
  • Deliver trend/sales presentations to leading national account targets with culinary, marketing, and demand science teams as value-add sales service to customer partnerships.
  • Communicate and track key performance indicators with your team.
  • Travel up to 50% with 2-3 overnights per week
Your Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent National Account Manager experience required.
  • 8+ years progressive foodservice sales experience including account management. Preference for experience conducting headquarter calls with Technomic Top 100 foodservice chain accounts.
  • Demonstrated sales management experience of multiple product categories and customers. In-depth knowledge of sales, negotiation, trade and marketing concepts and methods.
  • Experience in trade spending management with proven fiscal responsibility.
  • Experience interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop strategy.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Tibersoft, and Blacksmith's pricing solution.
