About The Role
This position is an on-site employee facing role, that will report to the Sr HR Generalist or HR Director as and when the business deems appropriate.
What you will be responsible for:
- The incumbent is expected to provide overall HR support at TN, Knoxville site.
- Drive and manage all recruitment related activities at site, including the hiring of FTE/Contractors and working closely with staffing vendors and leadership teams.
- Responsible for HR operation lifecycle including but not limited to generating offer letters, reference checks, background checks, new hire paperwork, new hire orientation, e-verify and initiating the employee processing sheet for all departments to complete, drug testing, off boarding and related activities.
- Provide assistance in the benefits administration activities include updating of employee information, reviewing invoices, liaison for managed benefits and participate in the renewal and open enrolment process.
- Maintain, prepare, review and follow up on attendance time sheets. This requires coordination between employee, manager, payroll and related vendor.
- Drive employee learning at Site and ensure employees are well informed of the L&D opportunities.
- Assist in entering leave requests into payroll systems for paid and unpaid time off such as: Vacation, Holidays, Bereavement, Jury Duty, FMLA, Military Leave, Leave of Absence, etc.
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
- Handle employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
- Provide backup to the Payroll Coordinator when it is required.
- Lead the 401k administration which includes but not limited to updating employee information, distribution process and year end compliance.
- Maintain new hires, promotions, transfers, and termination listing.
- Maintain the Job Description records and coordinate with the hiring manager for updates.
- Update and maintain Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures at Site.
- Responsible for responding and following through with all unemployment claims.
- Drive performance evaluation with managers and maintain the relevant performance records.
- Drive site HR activities for a cohesive culture with the local region to ensure all team members understand the overall goal for the region/site.
- Attend other duties/functions as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of HR experience is preferred. Recent degree graduates who are willing to learn, able to strive with a minimal supervision are welcome to apply as well.
- Basic understanding of employment law at federal and state level.
- Recruitment and I-9 verification process experience would be beneficial.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, positive, willing to learn and possess an open mindset.
- Flexible to attend meetings in the evening/early hours to correspond with the HQ team in Singapore.
