As the HR Generalist for the Mid-South Region office team, you’ll play a role in strategic planning, execution of initiatives, and provide counsel to leaders on complex employee relations matters while utilizing a consultative versus policy approach while upholding our values. This role will require building relationships with district managers, leadership and other HR professionals across North America. The Mid-South Region Office team supports over 85 districts across Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee, employing nearly 3,000 employees.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE

▪ A can-do, positive attitude and servant leadership qualities.

▪ Deep experience in conducting and successfully resolving employee-related investigations.

▪ Minimum 4+ years of progressive experience in all Human Resources competencies.

▪ Advanced knowledge of U.S. and applicable state employment laws.

▪ Advanced knowledge of Leave of Absence management and best practices.

▪ Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality, even in high stress situations.

▪ The ability to travel up to 40%, often without advanced planning. This could involve overnight travel as well as day trips.

▪ Self-driven project management skills and the ability to manage multiple matters while demonstrating sound judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills.

▪ Proven success in influencing and serving employees at all levels of the organization through collaboration and communication. ▪ PHR/SPHR (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred.

▪ A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field strongly preferred. ▪ Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Coach and support field leadership with employee performance management issues, including coaching conversations, investigations, and progressive discipline.

▪ Advise and manage through complex Leave of Absence issues.

▪ Assist with integrating newly acquired companies/employees.

▪ Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs, and other employee matters.

▪ Analyze data to help drive results (such as turnover numbers, internal and external market data) and make recommendations to management based upon findings and best practices.

▪ Report to and work directly with the Human Resources Manager.
