SUMMARY

The Service Manager will manage the unscheduled maintenance activities for Nexamp and third party owned solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) infrastructure. The position is responsible for creating and managing outage tickets to resolve faults and equipment failures with the most practical, expeditious and safe means available. This position will coordinate with site owners, customers, contractors and equipment manufacturers to schedule, troubleshoot and mitigate equipment and performance related issues. The Service Manager will provide quality control of materials, labor, tools, workmanship and documentation either on site or through review of service reports. In addition, the position will manage spare parts inventories, equipment warranty documentation and claims, return merchandise authorizations (RMA), and insurance claims.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Respond to outage and performance alerts generated by facility owners or the Nexamp Energy Center and initiate corrective actions

* Perform remote troubleshooting and diagnostics with facility staff or owner to attempt to identify

* root failure causes and gauge scope of work prior to dispatching service personnel

* Manage the staffing, scheduling, dispatching and technical support of Nexamp and contractor field service personnel to investigate and resolve solar PV and battery energy storage system issues.

* Determine warranty vs. billable service work on a per-incident basis, develop price quotes for billable service work, and manage customer billing

* Manage RMA processes, including detailed recordkeeping, inbound/outbound tracking of RMA equipment, spare parts inventory, and invoicing for vendor reimbursements

QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Diploma or any Degree within Renewables

* 5+ years in the solar industry (Solar Installation & Maintenance)

* Highly developed electrical, PV and BESS related troubleshooting skills and expertise

* Strong verbal and written communications and contemporary office skills including use of Microsoft Office, data acquisition systems, and remote computing

* Thorough understanding of PV principles, AC and DC electrical characteristics

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and procure materials and equipment as required

* Ability to work independently and provide effective remote support to field technicians

* Ability to travel up to 5%
