POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the guidance of the Parts and Service Manager, this role focuses on the lubrication of vehicle components. Key attributes for success in this position include effective communication, accountability, meticulous attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Deliver outstanding customer service interactions in line with organizational standards.
  2. Execute tasks as detailed on repair orders with precision and efficiency, adhering to dealership and manufacturer specifications.
  3. Promote lubrication services, safety inspections, and other related offerings according to dealership guidelines.
  4. Maintain precise records of customer interactions and conduct follow-up communications as necessary.
  5. Drain and refill engine oil as required.
  6. Replace oil and air filters as needed.
  7. Inspect and replenish vehicle fluid levels in accordance with dealership protocols.
  8. Check tire pressure and add air when necessary.
  9. Apply specified lubricants to moving parts.
  10. Coordinate with the parts department to procure necessary components.
  11. Report any machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  12. Document all completed work on the repair order.
  13. Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training sessions as directed by the Service Manager.
  14. Stay informed about current manufacturer technical bulletins.
  15. Ensure designated work areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  16. Account for all dealership-owned tools and manuals, returning them to their proper locations in good condition.
  17. Understand and comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA guidelines.
  18. Utilize tools and equipment safely and for their intended purposes, employing all necessary safety gear.
  19. Promptly report any safety concerns to management.
  20. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • To succeed in this role, candidates must effectively perform each essential function in accordance with organizational, dealership, and manufacturer standards.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos, along with the capacity to write basic correspondence.
  • Capability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operational instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations involving currency and measurements.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and handle standardized situations with minimal variables.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is preferred, along with one to two years of relevant experience or training.
  • Experience with German vehicles and CDK systems is a plus.
