Our work is based in downtown Phoenix, but reaches across the Maricopa County, working to end homelessness for one of the fastest unhoused and unsheltered populations in the United States.

**Summary**

The Client Engagement Specialist position will join our Respiro Emergency Shelter team in their efforts to engage clients in ending their homelessness as quickly as possible. This position will provide direct service to individuals who utilize the emergency shelter Respiro in addition to the Human Services Campus, by way of outreach and engagement, to connect individuals to needed daily campus amenities.

**The Work You Will Do To End Homelessness**
- Provide accurate and comprehensive information to clients both on campus and additional housing locations
- Provide a high level of Client Engagement
- Maintain organized and clean work area
- Monitor and maintain Respiro shelter under Social Distancing processes
- Assist in Daily Monitoring usage for clients
- Participate in shift responsibilities (main room, check in tables, shower monitoring, shelter bed setup and take down).
- Maintain inventory needs during opening and closing shifts at desk (sanitation needs, hygiene products, client information forms and appointment update with case managers).
- Follow all policies and procedures for employees at the Human Services Campus
- Engage clients with a welcoming and positive attitude as they come back from navigating the campus for needed services, (food, shelter, showers, housing, etc.).

**You Are Good Fit If You Have the Following**
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of 1 (one) year customer service service experience, social services or Human Services. Knowledge of homeless resources and the ability to work with individuals with diverse needs. Demonstrate a sensitivity to cultural diversity and differing lifestyles.
- Written and verbal communication skills (Spanish a plus). Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally, with staff, clients and other external contacts.
- Work as a team player and at times, independently; the ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and maintain a calm demeanor in high stress situations.
- Must demonstrate personal responsibility and integrity; show initiative and the ability to work independently with a sensitivity to cultural diversity, lifestyle and understanding is essential.
- Ability to handle sensitive material, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and displaying sound judgment.
- Valid Drivers’ License/Clean 3 year MVR
- Mobility sufficient to conduct regular duties within a normal campus environment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds in order to safely manage office supplies and equipment.
