Responsibilities: - Review and analyze dental patient records to ensure accurate and complete documentation - Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems - Collaborate with dental providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations - Process dental claims for insurance reimbursement - Follow up on denied or rejected claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry changes and updates related to dental coding and billing practices - Assist with medical collection efforts as needed Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred - Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification strongly preferred - Proven experience in dental or medical coding and billing - Proficient in using dental coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 - Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses related to dentistry - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding processes - Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) system is a plus We offer competitive compensation based on experience. Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
