Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team at Moses Lake Community Health Center. As a key member of our finance department, this role will provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, while also supporting other finance team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from other departments.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
  • General Ledger Management: Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
  • Accounting Procedures: Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
  • Financial Inquiry: Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Operational Support: Work with and support operational leaders across all departments to create budgets and gain efficiency.
  • Professional Development: Continually update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting and two years of experience, or five years of recent and relevant experience.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Skills: Strong analytic skills, problem-solving and time management skills, highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Desired Qualifications: Commitment to self-development and proven ability to receive and act on feedback, practical and creative approach to problem-solving, ability to summarize and communicate important data, strong desire to exceed expectations.
