**Position Summary**

The Strategic Partnership Liaison is responsible for exploration of regional and statewide strategic partnerships with both private, governmental and nonprofit organizations which would add specific value to the Black and Brown Opportunities for Profit Center. The value the BBOP seeks is to increase its profitability, marketability and scalability. The position requires an individual with social capital, business acumen and the ability to navigate the economic development arena. In conjunction with the Executive Team, develop a targeted plan to address the gaps and garner the relationships needed to increase resources for the Black and Brown Opportunities for Profit (BBOP) Center. The SPL is also responsible for ensuring that BBOP Center remains abreast of current trends and statewide events which may impact our internal and external stakeholders’ ability to support the BBOP.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with BBOP Center’s Executive Team to identify new key partnerships that support the BBOP Center’s mission and vision.
- Establish, cultivate, and expand key relationships with corporate, private and foundational partners that can lead to value added in the areas of profitability, marketability and scalability.
- Monitor, coordinate, and communicate the strategic objectives of the BBOP Center through developing strategic partnerships and collaborations.
- Develop systems and procedures to support the identification, development and stewardship of collaborative partnerships and conduct research to identify any potential contractual opportunities.
- Provide detailed reports to the BBOP Center’s Executive Team with respect to the organization’s partnerships progress with clear identification of the value added and proximity to reaching our intended goals.
- Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
- Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and existing relationships/partnerships.
- Filters through partnership requests and explores opportunities that add value to the organization.
- Understand the Time for Change Foundation parent organization and its strengths which can add value and be leveraged to acquire new partnerships for the BBOP Center.
- In tandem with the Executive Team, acquire proficiency of our mission, talking points, and BBOP website in order to present at conferences, city hall meetings, radio and other as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years proven ability to develop strategic partnerships, navigate corporate social settings, board rooms and governmental relations
- A highly organized, creative individual, with excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to plan and administer multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent communication skills coupled with an outgoing personality enables one to “work the room” and meet many potential partners.
- Possess good knowledge of planning and execution
- A multi-tasker with strong ability to work under pressure while employing sound decision-making capacity
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and produce quality results on time with attention to detail.
- Develop and maintain positive professional relations with all stakeholders, including managers, staff, service providers, and organizational representatives
- This position requires an individual to be agile and adaptable in rapidly changing environment ensuring that the level of professionalism is consistent.

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or Public Relations is highly desirable. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional strategic partnership development and/or management experience, with project management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in mobilizing organizational strategic partnerships through grassroots or traditional outreach.
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of strategic alliance development strategies including corporate events, conferences, presentations, online/social media, and other channels of community outreach.
- Proven track record of partnership management/client service experience, including customizable programs and initiatives to drive organizational performance and market presence.
- Effective networker and experience in strengthening relations with partners across the full range of disciplines, including communications and sponsor relations.
- Ability to work for extended days and on weekends during critical points in program cycles or for major planned events.
- Experience tracking key deliverables and following up on outstanding items.
- Highly organized multi-tasker who can manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to travel, when appropriate.
- Must know: Word, Excel, Canva or PowerPoint, Facebook, Instagram, Linked In and Threads.

**Position Type**
