University Advancement seeks an Advancement Coordinator (AC) to join the UVA Engineering Advancement Team. The AC will serve as a point person for and provide general administrative support for development and donor engagement activities. Responsibilities to include preparing donor acknowledgments, making travel and scheduling arrangements, processing expense reimbursements, helping with donor events, conducting data entry, fulfilling reporting needs and other administrative support functions for the team. The AC will report to the Executive Director for Development.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide administrative and project support for the development team.
- Manage scheduling and meeting coordination for team members as needed, including but not limited to preparing meeting and event materials and providing event support.
- Arrange and confirm travel arrangements.
- Process expenses and reimbursements for the development team.
- Coordinate the production of printed materials and presentations.
- Prepare materials for donor visits and draft donor correspondence.
- Generate recipient lists, giving reports, demographic reports, and outcome measurement data, including generating mailing lists, maintaining and updating donor information, entering contact reports and proposals, and creating and tracking events.
- Assist the development team with portfolio management and reporting using Advance, Evertrue, and the BI Portal.
- Perform data entry and provide database management support.
- Participate in training, meetings, and cross-training opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of and work in compliance with current organizational policies and procedures.
- Communicate with other internal University groups and be an active participant in the community of School of Engineering and University Advancement administrative professionals.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: At least three years of experience relevant experience

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to navigate database systems and analyze information using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication, organizational skills, and strong customer service to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to work independently, using sound judgment to navigate obstacles as needed, and complete tasks with mínimal guidance.
- Prior experience with CRM databases and other marketing or event software such as Advance, Marketing Cloud, Eventbrite, etc.

UVA Advancement offers a flexible and hybrid workplace. All team members must have access to and maintain a secure home office environment with high-speed internet service and work collaboratively with others using a variety of technologies and tools. Frequent work in our shared office space located in Charlottesville, Virginia, is required.
