The **Resident Services Coordinator (RSC)** is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing all activities, programs, and services in The Habitat Company-managed communities. The RSC makes appropriate referrals, markets and recruits’ residents to participate in the activities, programs, and services offered by resident services and various service providers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Collaborates with the onsite management team to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement activities, programs, and services to meet the educational, social, and community needs of residents.
- Assesses the needs of each resident and develops a plan with the resident to achieve goals related to housing, health and wellness, youth development, workforce development, food access and community engagement activities.
- Collaborates with community partners to host monthly resident activities related to needed resources, such as senior engagement, youth afterschool activities, health education and holiday celebrations.
- Makes appropriate referrals to agencies/service providers to meet the needs of community residents.
- Promote and recruit resident participation in activities, in programs, and services.
- Monitors and assists with the evaluation of activities, programs, and services.
- Provides excellent customer service to residents and all internal and external customers.
- Maintains appropriate files and records such as resident, program and resources.
- Works collaboratively with the onsite management team to address referrals for lease compliance issues and other identified resource needs of residents.
- Will complete Mental Health First Aid certification and State of Illinois Mandated Reporting.
- Will participate in monthly team staff meetings with the resident services team.
- Will participate in onsite team meetings with the property management team.
- Submit monthly reports.
- Documents resident interactions in case management system.
- Perform other related tasks as needed and assigned.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Ability to work with a team and utilize the team approach to service delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related Human Services discipline required.
- Must be able to work weekends when needed.
- Proven effectiveness in program design, implementation, and management.
- Ability to effectively relate and interact with people of diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
- Working knowledge of various resources and service providers in the Chicago area.
- Ability to work with community and professional groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability for effective presentations.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
- Experience working with senior citizens and individuals with disabilities.
- Experience in conflict resolution and crisis intervention.
- Positive customer service attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Able to prioritize tasks in order to meet goals and deadlines.
